AT&T has announced AT&T Cloud Voice with Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile, a new mobile-first, AI-powered UC solution to empower the mobile workforce.

This solution seamlessly integrates an AT&T business mobile number with Microsoft Teams Phone, creating a single, flexible business identity for mobile, desk, and Teams. Users can work flexibly and securely from any location or device.

The solution intends to tackle the challenges of today’s digital landscape, prioritising scalability and mobility in communication tools. Addressing issues such as siloed phone systems, high costs, and complex vendor management, a modern UC offering like AT&T Cloud Voice with Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile aims to offer seamless integration and enhanced flexibility for businesses in the age of 5G and AI.

AT&T is a pioneer in its integration of its 5G network with Teams Phone Mobile using Azure Communications Gateway, ensuring robust service quality, streamlined user experience, and enhanced call security. With AI-driven collaboration via Microsoft Copilot, users benefit from real-time call summarization and insights, enabling focus on discussions while tasks are managed seamlessly.

“AT&T Cloud Voice with Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile enables more productive mobility for organizations,” added Mahendra Sekaran, Corporate Vice President at Microsoft Teams Phone Engineering. “By combining the intelligent collaboration and communication capabilities of Teams and Microsoft Azure with the reliability and security of AT&T’s network, we’re able to deliver integrated mobile calling and business collaboration experiences that are reliable, scalable, and easy to manage.”

AT&T Cloud Voice with Microsoft Teams Phone Mobile will launch in Controlled Introduction in early Summer 2024, with General Availability by Q3. AT&T customers can initiate planning workshops with AT&T Consulting to facilitate their migration to cloud and mobile communication applications.

It will also be available to AT&T business wireless subscribers at no additional AT&T charge.

Among the most eye-catching features for AT&T Cloud Voice with Teams Phone Mobile is a unified business identity, featuring one wireless business number and caller-ID across all devices and Teams endpoints.

Seamless and secure call management across devices and networks, with the ability to switch devices mid-call or transition to a Teams call enables a seamless user experience. Meanwhile, AT&T 5G offers high-quality HD voice with low latency and ample network capacity, and users can utilise AI for intelligent, future-proof communication, given the likely future of ever-growing automated services.

AT&T’s solution also expands security and compliance recording options to all calls for enhanced communication security and compliance while centralising devices and admin tools for efficient business communication management. Cloud Voice also simplifies operations and promotes hybrid work flexiblity, prioritising customer onboarding and ease of use.

Lastly, dedicated connectivity between AT&T wireless network and Microsoft Azure and Teams servers empowers users with robust end-to-end security.
