Thousands of homes and businesses across Australia now have access to improved mobile coverage with the program activating its 600th base station this week.

The milestone was celebrated at one of those 600 base stations in Diamond Tree, Western Australia, which was delivered in partnership with Telstra under the program.

Communities across the country have benefited from the installation of mobile base stations that bring new or improved mobile coverage to thousands of identified black spot locations in regional Australia.

The first three rounds of the program are delivering a total of 867 base stations nationwide. The Government recently announced a fourth round of the program and will call for applications from mobile carriers soon.
