Telstra Broadcast Services launched Broadcast Plus, a new technology services capability for the media and entertainment industry to help customers address digital disruption and transform broadcast and online video operations.

A partnership between Telstra Broadcast Services and the newly formed Telstra Purple, Broadcast Plus will provide specialist knowledge in media networks, cloud, security, collaboration, mobility, software, data and analytics, and design.

“By combining the professional services skills of our Telstra Purple team with the deep industry knowledge and experience of Telstra Broadcast Services, we are uniquely placed to help our customers make sense of the constant evolution and proliferation of technology solutions out there in the market.

“We can partner with our customers at any stage of their transformation journey – from strategy setting, through to solution design, implementation and ultimately the management of the systems and platforms,” said Mr Ebeid.

Broadcast Plus will deliver technology solutions and services such as cloud consulting, media archive and cloud storage, app design and development, end-to-end OTT and media hosting as well as draw on strong alliances with leading technology providers and industry leaders such as Brightcove, AWS Elemental, Akamai and Dalet.

“From shifting consumption behaviours, convergence of media and IP, the introduction of new technologies, and changing business models, the media and entertainment industry is continually evolving,” said Mr Ebeid.

“This represents a huge opportunity for many of our customers and it’s critical that organisations quickly adapt and respond to capture competitive advantage. We will now be ideally placed to help them with as a transformation partner.”
