AT&T Business is expanding its enterprise satellite connectivity offering through a strategic agreement with Amazon Leo, adding low Earth orbit satellite services to its existing fiber and 5G network architecture. The arrangement makes AT&T the first major US telecommunications provider to offer Amazon Leo broadband as part of a converged connectivity solution for enterprise and public sector customers.

AT&T Integrates Satellite into Fiber and 5G Architecture

Under the agreement, AT&T Business customers will be able to use Amazon Leo satellite services alongside AT&T’s terrestrial networks. Rather than positioning satellite broadband as a standalone service, the companies are integrating it into a managed connectivity architecture that allows customers to select the appropriate access technology for their operational requirements.

The approach is designed to give enterprise and public sector organizations greater flexibility across different connectivity environments. AT&T said the architecture will combine fiber, 5G and low Earth orbit satellite services through a single provider and managed experience.

The companies are moving through a structured, phased deployment to validate business-grade reliability before broader road availability. Details covering service availability, pricing and specific product configurations are expected to be announced in the coming months.

The development adds enterprise satellite connectivity to AT&T’s broader portfolio as organizations increasingly require communications options that can operate across different locations and network conditions.

New Connectivity Layer Targets Remote and Critical Operations

The agreement is also intended to extend the reach of AT&T’s connectivity services into remote, rural and previously underserved areas. By adding Amazon Leo’s satellite capabilities to its terrestrial infrastructure, AT&T said customers will have access to greater network resilience and redundancy across multiple technologies.

For enterprise and public sector organizations, the architecture is designed to maintain connectivity for field operations and other environments where conventional infrastructure may not provide sufficient coverage or redundancy. Amazon Leo’s satellite broadband is being positioned as an additional layer that can complement existing fiber and wireless networks.

AT&T also highlighted its agreements with Amazon Web Services and Amazon Leo as part of a broader effort to develop technology solutions for large-scale business and government customers. These solutions are expected to combine managed connectivity with cloud capabilities and satellite infrastructure.

The expansion represents a move toward enterprise satellite connectivity being integrated into broader network architectures rather than managed as an isolated access service. With AT&T combining satellite, fiber and 5G within a unified offering, the companies are building a multi-layer connectivity model intended to support customers across a wider range of operating environments.

For AT&T Business, the agreement adds another connectivity option to its enterprise portfolio, while Amazon Leo gains access to an established telecommunications provider and its business customer base.
