Saudi Arabia’s AI infrastructure technology company, OmniOps, and Newroz Telecom, which is a leading provider when it comes to telecommunications and digital services located in the Kurdistan Region, unveiled a strategic alliance on July 1, 2026, to launch KI, which is the first Kurdish conversational AI platform.
It is worth noting that this first Kurdish conversational AI platform is powered by Bunyan, the AI inferencing platform from OmniOps, installed on-premises on the infrastructure of Newroz Telecom. The installation keeps AI workloads and data processing in the Kurdistan Region and also in the hands of local data while providing local oversight, service dependability, compliance with regulations, and the capacity to use sovereign AI capabilities.
KI supports Kurdish, which includes Sorani and Badini as well as Kurmanji dialects, along with Arabic and English. The platform helps to close a persistent linguistic barrier in artificial intelligence, giving customers, businesses, and institutions throughout the Kurdistan Region the ability to use AI-powered services within the language of their choice.
