AsiaInfo-Linkage, the largest software supplier of Business Support Systems (BSS) to the telecommunications industry in Asia, today announced that the international version of its Veris product suite has been successfully implemented by Shanghai Mobile, one of the largest operators in the China Mobile Communications Group.

The comprehensive Veris international BSS portfolio includes the core solutions of Veris Billing, Veris CRM and Veris BI (Business Intelligence). Released to European markets earlier this year, these Veris products, and some of their individual components, can be deployed as standalone modules or as part of a complete solution.

Shanghai Mobile completed the implementation of the full international Veris Billing and CRM product suite earlier this year, roughly one year after launching its BSS transformation initiative.

“Our Veris suite offers operators unrivalled flexibility and the capability to quickly roll-out new services based on real-time charging and analysis with full convergence of customer data across pre-paid, post-paid and multi-service contracts,” said Steve Zhang, chief executive officer of AsiaInfo-Linkage. “It enables operators to add innovation to their charging models and drive new service delivery.

“We believe Shanghai Mobile’s installation of the Veris suite across its 25 million subscriber base is a major deployment. Not only will it help to set new standards of customer service and flexibility, it also reflects the kind of work we are doing to help China’s carriers analyze and better monetize their rapidly growing user traffic,” added Mr. Zhang.
