MYCOM OSI, the leading independent provider of best-in-class Service Assurance solutions to the world’s largest communications service providers (CSPs), announced that its NIMS-PrOptima™ service and network performance management platform has been selected by BASE Company to manage the end-to-end performance of its network

BASE Company is a major mobile operator in Belgium that focuses on offering the best voice quality and fastest 3G network to its subscribers. When it decided to standardize on a single network performance management solution as part of its Next Generation Performance Management (NGPM) project it required a solution that was independent of network equipment vendors, provided rapid time-to-market for network equipment changes and was easy-to-use with industry-leading functionality.

As the solution is provided as a managed service by Comarch, NIMS-PrOptima™ was chosen for its high performance and reliability to meet Comarch’s stringent service level agreements with BASE Company.

After a detailed competitive evaluation, NIMS-PrOptima™ was selected to support BASE Company in proactively delivering the best quality of service to its customers.

“BASE Company believes that the future is mobile. As a mobile operator, you must offer your customers the best price, the best network and the best service. Today, we are a leader in all three areas and we aim higher. We keep on finding new solutions and better services for our customers focusing on optimal customer experience. In everything we do, quality is key”, says Jos Donvil, CEO of BASE Company.

NIMS-PrOptima™ is a converged (Fixed/IP/Mobile) service and network performance management solution with out-of-the-box support for multiple technologies, domains and equipment vendors across access, backhaul, core and service networks. It processes large volumes of performance, configuration and services data in near real time, and has advanced correlation, analysis, reporting and visualization modules. It is also highly flexible via automation, workflow and configuration capabilities.

“We welcome BASE Company to our distinguished and growing CSP community. This latest customer win proves once again that MYCOM OSI offers a best-in-class performance management solution that addresses the needs of customer-focused CSPs operating in a fast-paced telecom industry”, commented Dr. Payam Taaghol, CEO of MYCOM OSI. “Vendor independence and deployment speed are key advantages of NIMS-PrOptima™ and its delivery via a managed service also demonstrates that industry-leading capabilities can be obtained easily by CSPs of any size through MYCOM OSI’s leading Managed Service Provider partners such as Comarch.”
