Level 3 Communications, Inc. today announced that it has signed an agreement with Praxair Colombia, a regional subsidiary of Praxair, Inc, one of the largest industrial gas companies in the world.

The new agreement expands Level 3’s existing relationship with the company, adding a range of telecommunications services that enhance Praxair Colombia’s operational efficiency and security, supporting its continued development of innovative products and services that meet its customers’ needs.

A regional leader in industrial and medical gases, Praxair Colombia has selected Level 3 as its provider for IP telephony, dedicated Internet access (DIA), managed security and data center services, enhancing network connectivity and security throughout all of its national locations.

“We are continuously focused on finding sustainable ways of improving productivity, whether that’s through delivering gas services that increase manufacturing plant efficiency or by just helping our customers breathe easier. Using Level 3’s services to boost our own communications efficiencies improves our ability to pursue this goal, and we are pleased that by working with Level 3 we’ll be able to deliver an even better experience for our customers while simultaneously driving down operational overhead,” said Carlos Alzate, systems head for Praxair Colombia.

“The robustness of our global IP network, advanced communications services and secure data centers, coupled with the expertise of our technical professionals, offers a compelling communications solution for today’s global organizations, and this agreement demonstrates our persistent growth in the enterprise sector,” said Luis Carlos Guerrero, sales vice president for Level 3’s Andean region. “We are delighted that our services will help Praxair Colombia improve its operational efficiencies and network security, ultimately supporting its continued expansion and development within the region.”
