Telia Company has extended its partnership with Ericsson for another four years. The renewed collaboration covers mobile networks in Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, and Estonia. Announced in Stockholm on November 6, 2025, the deal focuses on improving network speed, capacity, and coverage. It also adds advanced features to reinforce Telia’s infrastructure.

The extended Telia and Ericsson partnership is designed to prepare Telia’s network for future demands. It aims to drive greater innovation and boost efficiency across multiple industries. Using Ericsson’s RAN technology, Telia plans to boost connectivity and deliver more reliable services for enterprise and mission-critical customers in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, and other data-driven areas.

Telia’s business- and mission-critical communications customers spanning public safety, defense, healthcare, transportation, and utilities are set to gain from Ericsson’s latest RAN capabilities. The company currently manages 26 million subscriptions across its five direct-to-consumer markets, highlighting the scale of impact this network expansion could have on both commercial and public service users.

Speaking on the Telia and Ericsson partnership, Alexandra Fürst, Chief Technology & Information Officer at Telia Company, stated: “The Nordic and Baltic regions are already home to some of the world’s most advanced digital infrastructure. Telia’s secure and sustainable networks are relied upon by millions of customers every day, from people to public services and industries. This partnership with Ericsson will help us to stay at the technological forefront and power use-cases that can drive economic growth and improve quality of life across societies, reinforcing Telia’s position as a trusted and progressive partner.”

Niclas Backlund, Head of Sweden and Baltics at Ericsson, added: “Advances in network performance, programmability, resilience and security are helping to drive innovation in the digital economy. Such capabilities provide service providers with new opportunities to engage with their enterprise customers. Ericsson is proud to strengthen our longstanding partnership with Telia in the Nordic and Baltic region to deliver world-class connectivity for communities, enterprises and industries.”
