A new partnership deal has just been announced, confirming that Connectplay will be delivering Netmania IT’s low cost, feature rich Auto Configuration Server (ACS) into New Zealand’s broadband market.

Netmania IT, the company behind the popular TR-069 device management solution, ACSLite, has confirmed Auckland-based Connectplay as the latest company to join the Global ACSLite Partnership Programme.
The new deal means that Connectplay will be delivering ACSLite into New Zealand; offering service providers across the country the chance to provision and manage their CPE estates remotely in a cost-effective way using Netmania IT’s feature rich ACS.
Connectplay was established in 2002 to provide technical support services for the Alcatel NZ / Telecom NZ (Xtra) broadband initiative, the company now specialises in the supply and support of high quality broadband Customer Premise Equipment (CPE).
“Teaming up with Connectplay is fantastic news for Netmania because it will help us attract new clients by working alongside a New Zealand company which know their market inside out, while also providing local support for existing and future customers,” explains Anthony Brown, Netmania IT’s Sales & Marketing Director.
“We receive enquiries from all around the world, indeed, ACSLite has quickly become known as the leading device management solution for providers across the globe which is why our partnership network is so important to us, and why we’re so pleased to be working with Connectplay to better serve the market over in New Zealand.”
ACSLite is growing in popularity as a highly scalable, cost-effective platform for TR-069 CPE deployment. The low cost entry point and licensing costs make it an affordable solution, while the comprehensive functionality enables faster and simpler product configuration.
The platform’s LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) design requires minimal hardware and software, while the Logic Box PHP scripting engine offers the ability to create complex actions such as the zero-touch provisioning of devices and value-added services.
“By adding ACSLite to their existing portfolio of products and services, Connectplay will be able to help service providers improve the activation of new subscribers and value-added services, while substantially reducing the costs associated with these processes,” adds Anthony.
