Accenture and SandboxAQ are significantly expanding their collaboration to address the pressing need for robust data encryption. Accenture is introducing a new Encryption Risk Assessment service integrated with SandboxAQ’s AQtive Guard. This partnership focuses on strengthening encryption to defend against both current cyber threats and future risks posed by artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing. The joint offering aims to enhance data security across enterprise technology portfolios and improve observability to mitigate third-party risks.

This service provides clients with insights into vulnerabilities caused by outdated cryptography, enabling proactive risk management and encryption upgrades to defend against ransomware, data theft, and future quantum threats. It evaluates cryptographic assets, including digital certificates and cryptographic keys, and supports both symmetric and public key algorithms. It offers prioritized remediation recommendations to enhance data protection and prepare for post-quantum security challenges. The expanded partnership underscores a commitment to safeguarding confidential information and adapting to evolving cybersecurity needs.

According to recent Accenture research, 52% of CEOs view the rapid pace of technological advancement as a top cybersecurity risk, with 86% considering cyber trust and resilience in emerging technologies, such as generative AI and quantum computing, as highly pertinent.
