Intel has announced its membership in the Open Confidential User Data Utility (OCUDU) Ecosystem Foundation, hosted by the Linux Foundation, in a move aimed at accelerating open and interoperable radio access network infrastructure for next-generation wireless communications.
The announcement, made on 4 August 2026, confirms Intel as a Premier Member of the Intel OCuDu Foundation initiative. The collaborative effort is focused on fostering vendor-neutral Radio Access Network software across both Centralised Unit and Distributed Unit environments. The goal is to reduce integration complexity and enable rapid deployment of production-grade software for 5G and future 6G networks.
